Library of Minas Morgul - Cleaning Up Links

Some of the most ancient scrolls have crumbled with time - here are the ones I discovered during my exploration. A group of dedicated scribes copied much of Henneth Annun to Archive of Our Own, and I've included fresh links where I could find them. Less fortunately, I have been unable to locate any similar archive for works that resided on LoTRFanfiction.

Wow! You have gone to a lot of work in the Library. Unfortunately, sometimes scrolls do crumble.

Sadly, there are a lot fewer archives than there once were. When I returned to The Circles last fall, I was shocked at how much had changed. There used to be multiple big archives, plus smaller archives dedicated to certain characters, pairings, etc. I've seen posts by people on forums strongly advising people to download their favorite stories for safe keeping, because of situations like these.

Many of the stories on LOTRFanfiction were later put on Faerie, which is down now as well. No one knows if it will come back either.

I might be able to find some of these stories through the Internet Archive, but that site is not always friendly towards multiple chapter stories.

Leyara, I have done some editing to the Reading Room and added the new addresses that you provided. I have not gotten around to trying to find the other lost links yet.

I have fixed the broken links to discussion threads in the Chamber of Nazgul Lore.

Sadly, I was unable to find a working version of "The Black Breath" discussion, as the Henneth Annun forums have been shut down.

I recently read that Archive of Our Own has acquired stories from the old Lord of the Rings Fanfiction archive. This may solve some of the broken fanfiction links. However, it will take a while for the stories to go up on AO3.

I have updated the site with all of the changes. Unfortunately, I could not find Ancient Malice Rests Not by PurpleArmadillo and Lady of Angmar by SilverRavenStar. Apparently, these authors have deleted their stories and accounts.

I believe I have redirected all of the stories that were archived on Henneth Annun to the HASA collection on AO3. I also fixed the links to the stories archived on Council of Elrond.
