There's a lot of eroticism in that picture--note the one mushroom in front of Eowyn. ;D I could go on but the air conditioner is dead & it's over 100 outside. No need to get things hotter around here.

In the interest of scientific research and intellectual enlightenment, I hereby humbly submit the stinkhorn mushroom, which I believe is the mushroom depicted in the second painting. Here it is shown along with several immature specimens, which are known as "witch eggs." In medieval times, the stinkhorn was reputed to be useful as both a cure for gout and a love potion. The shroom at the bottom is phallus impudicus.The young ones are also edible.
