And I haven't seen the Witch-King and Eowyn by Frazetta... Great new chapters, Angmar and Elfhild!

And I haven't seen the Witch-King and Eowyn by Frazetta... Great new chapters, Angmar and Elfhild! Agan, some would probably say that the picture is "too cartoony," and it probably is, but it has its own special qualities. *grins* Eowyn the Amazon. Hmmm.... a third age Haleth. ;D Glad you liked the chapter.

Agan, that's it. We definitely need a Nazgul Art site.

Agan, it looks like we're having a Black Cloak convention. ;D There haven't been this many of us in one place since the good old days in Tharbad. ;D
Yes, a Nazgul art site is much needed.

Back to our story--I can't imagine that a man would willingly let two nubile blondes wander off, not when they are ready & willing...or at least dream they are.

Khazar, he did not willingly leave them behind. He was despairing and tortured when he was forced to cast the spell of sleep upon Elfhild and then depart into the night.
Book Four sheds light upon his reasoning. But you'll have to wait until Book Three is concluded first. ;D
*** From "Kiss of Icy Darkness:"
"[...]I am a warrior and I cannot stay... not while battles rage... while death is all around me... while the dogs of war lick the blood from the faces of dying men... while the carrion birds tear the putrefying flesh from the bones of the noble... Can you not hear the wolves calling?" His words stilled and he lifted his head, listening for some sound above him, a sound which her ears could not catch, but which was perceived by her soul.
"I do not understand what you mean, my lord, only that you plan to leave me!" she answered, dazed and bewildered, both from his words and the fierceness of his passion.
"I must depart from you!" he exclaimed harshly. "But..." Did he hesitate? His fingers gently stroked her hair. From far away across the mountains, beyond the valleys, upon the red plains of death, the wolf begin to sing a song she knew was meant only for her. "No!" he shouted into the night, and the trees bent down their heads in despair. The sorrow in that one word would take lifetimes to comprehend, but was understood in just a moment. "Do not torment me with things that cannot be... that might never be! Join your sister in the cool sweetness of blessed slumber!"

You know what you lack here, Angmar? - A link to the Circles! If someone ventures here they would be puzzled what this all is about. Also, in the logo the WK seems too small in size as compared to the two girls...

Agan, that is a very good idea to link to The Circles. People would be puzzled if they just wandered here.
Elfhild made the logo and I have always told her that she has the girls way too big in proportion. She tells me, "They're sitting on his lap."
*Nudges Elfhild* You might be sitting on my lap, but if you get any heavier, you're going to crush my legs! ;D

No, Angmar, don't believe her! The girls can't realistically be sitting on his lap - they are too far from him. They are standing by his side so he should be "looming above them" as it was with Eowyn. And where are "the mantled shoulders vast and dark?"

Maybe he's kneeling between them so as to be more, shall we say, accessable.
True Story: Alcanazar gets interns every summer. One year he had a young woman whom he described as 'shy & reserved'. She described him as 'intimidating & terrifying'. Since then he's made a point of sitting when dealing with people so as not to overwhelm them.
